My client is a well-known, specialist roofing contractor in Wigan looking for an experienced Roofing QS/Estimator to join their team on a permanent basis.

Day to day duties
- Attending sites to measure roof areas and carry out surveys
- Obtaining material costs
- Analysing plans and tender documentation
- Prioritising tenders
- Reviewing material and labour requirements for projects
- Provide accurate estimates of costs for projects
- Preparing and submitting quotations
- Ordering materials as required
- Administrating contracts and issuing the correct contractual notices
- Working in conjunction with the Contracts Manager to ensure the delivery of projects on time and within budget
What skills do i need?
- A degree in Quantity Surveying
- 2 years minimum experience, ideally in the roofing sector
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal are essential, and you must be able to work well within a team and independently.
- You will be self – motivated, flexible and reliable with good problem-solving skills.
- You will also have a strong client service focus and excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task. Excellent computer skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office are essential.
- Candidates will also need to have a full UK driving license
