Our successful client is currently recruiting in their busy Control team. The position would suit a level-headed candidate who can keep calm and thrive under pressure. The Control office runs 24/7 to provide & track replacement transport services to the Rail and Airline industries.

Daily Duties:

  • Responsible for the tracking of replacement transport and ensuring that services run on time.
  • Report any issues that affect replacement transport to line management.
  • Record KPI’s for each customer
  • Responsible for liaising with Coordinators and for making arrangements to call out Coordinators when required.
  • Manage the provision of stand-by vehicles and record any changes.
  • To work with key suppliers to ensure that they provide the correct vehicles and standards.
  • Assist the Duty Manager and liaise with external agencies as necessary (Emergency services, Network Rail, VOSA, local authorities, rail user groups)
  • Ensure that safety is your priority, and you always consider safety issues.

Required Skills

  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Call centre or similar background
  • Experience working to targets.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Customer focused and committed to excellent service delivery.
  • Professional telephone manner and excellent call handling skills
  • Empathetic and understanding manner.
  • Works well under pressure

Hours 

  • 4 days on/4 days off
  • Hours: Rotating shifts- 7am-7pm(days) /7pm-7am (nights)
